I first read this story in The SUN, which is pretty much a tabloid and didn’t believe it; I’m still a little skeptical because you never know how much you can trust the Australian press (I’m joking), but when I read the story on the Australian Broadcasting Company's website I believed it a little more.
Apparently and according to THE SUN, Lajamanu, OzLajamanu, Oz, a small town in Northern Australia, is being rained on by fish, which is more than a tad bit strange, and would be a terrible inconvenience for those wanting to spend a little quality time outside. Before you criticize this as a fake article or jokingly say that you hate it when it rains fish instead of the usual cats and dogs, consider the fact that just last year, tadpoles rained on an area in Japan off and on for a few months.
No one is sure where the fish came from in Australia, but there is speculation from metereologists and scientists that the fish could have been sucked up from a tornado elsewhere and dropped down.
Some residents of the small town jokingly told The SUN that the fish are preferable to crocodiles.
