Are you tired of animal cruelty?

If you’re getting fed up with reading about cruelty to animals on a daily basis, there’s a way you can chip in and help out our four-legged friends.

There are two types of animal cruelty: active and passive. Active cruelty occurs when somebody hurts an animal deliberately and injures it. It ranges from being physically violent towards an animal to using them for scientific testing.

Passive abuse is the more common of the two and includes neglect and abandonment.  It also includes turning a blind eye to other people harming animals, and not acting to prevent it.

I think perhaps in our busy lives, we are all guilty of this in way,  and now is as good a time as any to do your part to stop the cruelty.

I'm Tired of It! is a campaign to raise awareness of animal cruelty and encourage us to stamp it out.  Their site offers bracelets for $10, with half of the cost being donated to various  charities that deal with issues such as animal cruelty as well as many other worthy causes.

For abused animals, the money is sent to the Best Friends animal society.

The trendy bracelets come in two sizes and are eco friendly as they are made from recycled tires and metals with "I'm Tired of" embossed on both sides and "Animal Cruelty" on top. You can also customize bracelets.

Recently, the cast of National Geographic Channel's "Dogtown," which is based at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, showed its support by wearing their "I'm Tired of Animal Cruelty" bracelets at a photo shoot with some of the 22 "Vicktory" dogs that were saved from former NFL Quarterback Michael Vick's dog fighting abuse.

Go on!  Tell people you are tired of it , donate $10 and get your own cool bracelet to wear with pride.
